Need central locking for my Hilux N70 - DIY install or get a pro?

Hey all, I'm tossing up whether to attempt a DIY install of central locking on my Hilux N70, or just bite the bullet and get a pro to do it. I'm reasonably handy with tools, but auto electrics aren't really my strong point, and I don't want to mess anything up. Has anyone here done a DIY install on an N70 before? Was it relatively straightforward, or a complete pain in the backside? Any advice would be much appreciated!

I reckon that depends on how confident you are with wiring. If you're not comfortable with that aspect, then it's probably best to get a pro to do it. I've seen kits for sale that appear pretty straightforward. I know Cruiser Store seems to stock central locking install kits for them: visit them at https://cruiserstore.au/ to have a look at what they've got. Just make sure you disconnect the battery before you start fiddling with anything electrical.

These days, it's great that you actually can buy kits like that to install yourself. You'd never get that years ago, back then, you'd just have to try to wire something together yourself, and it'd probably never work. It's great that car modding has become mainstream
