My Ford's paint has scratches from off-roading, can they be fixed?

So I've got a bit of a situation with my Ford Ranger that I've been putting off dealing with for a while. I took it out for some desert driving a few months back and ended up with some pretty noticeable scratches on the side panels from brush and sand. They're not deep enough to catch a fingernail in, but they're definitely visible, especially in certain lighting, and they're really bugging me every time I walk up to the truck. I've tried some scratch remover products but they didn't really make much difference, and I'm nervous about using anything more aggressive in case I make it worse. I'm wondering if a professional detailing service can polish these out without damaging the paint, or if they're too deep and I'm looking at a respray. I'd also like to get some proper protection applied to the paint to help prevent future scratches, maybe a ceramic coating or a high-quality sealant.
